Gauteng East Cycling

Gauteng East is a new region in Gauteng. Previously incorporated in Central Gauteng.

Gauteng East has worked hard to grow cycling in our region.

Gauteng East has a development club, Ekurhleni Cycling Club. This club has grown from a handful of members to almost 200. They have members form all age categories. Some of the youngsters have even made it onto the podium at Provincial Championships. This is a great achievement and shows how the riders have grown and will continue to grow in the sport.

Gauteng East has tried to help all athletes in our region where we are able to. E.g. providing some funding for athletes going to Continental Championship.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 our growth plans for 2020 and 2021 in our region have been put on hold. The plans are now being made to for 2022, hopefully we will be able to achieve this.
